In prep for varnish, sanded and bleached all the panels with Lite-N-Up. Sucks to do it in such a small space in the side alley of my home, using trashcans as workbench. Can’t wait to get a proper shop.

To balance wood colors better, we bleached Hydro-Tek marine ply with Lite-N-Up to take most of the pink tone out of it. For the beam and compression post, we did the opposite – added a bit of reddish hue with a classic mahogany stain.
