Continuing to enjoy the galley. Hit farmers market in Sausalito this morning for fresh strawberries and cherries. Cooked pasta with Alfredo sauce and shiitake mushrooms for dinner.




As I’m without a car this weekend, I stocked up on groceries and ended up cooking more than I usually do. But it was fun and turned out great, despite somewhat cramped quarters.
Pasta with Alfredo sauce and shiitake mushrooms:


Steak with asparagus

Avocado toast with boiled egg and sriracha (don’t have room for a proper toaster so used the pan).


The teak cover I CNCd awhile back finally found its place. Stained and varnished it, then epoxied the base.





Then finally screwed on the top. Looking good!




Made a piece for the front of the cutting board, rounded edges, and glued it in.




Then made a juice groove by sticking a centerpiece on the board using double-sided tape and then routing around it. Hindsight: might have been better to use CNC for this and do a cleaner groove with shape closer to square.
