The interior side of companionway trim is in pretty good shape so we plan to re-finish it and re-use it. Did some light sanding on it to get it ready. The exterior portion would need to be replaced. We put it in temporarily to put in panels and close the opening before the coming rains.
Bold Flight is looking amazing! I am looking at a sister of your vessel – same year. I am hoping you can shed some light on a mystery with the fin keel. It has a large approx 12-16 inch diameter circle cut out of the keel and filled in with glass I suspect. Maybe the previous owner was attempting to shed some lbs? Has your vessel had this done?
