Even though the sail is brand new, one of the shackles already got loose and had to be sewn back. We strengthened others as well by adding a few more stitches to each.
Sewing grabrail cover
Used 1″ binder attachment for my Sailrite sewing machine to create reinforced edging on grab rail covers. Added fasteners – first try at doing that with the SnapRite tool and they turned out OK.
Sewing main sail cover
Moved on to the more complicated project: mainsail cover. The Sailrite kit and the video were very useful. Took a bit of time with some mistakes and learnings but overall it came out great.
