The final piece of the puzzle was put in place today with some help from my friend Viktar: we connected and tested the fresh water pump. With that, fresh water system plumbing is complete! The original plan was perfectly executed in 3 months.
Accumulation tank installed
Second to last piece of the puzzle is in. The Shurflo accumulation tank is plumbed in. Only the water pump is left now.
We got hot water!
Tested the water heater and things are working great. Pretty awesome to have hot water on a boat!
First toilet flush test
Well, after all the hoses and wires were connected the toilet appeared to be dead. As I started troubleshooting, I realized that an inline fuse holder was wired into the +12V wire from the battery but I never actually put a fuse in it! Once that was fixed, we were in business. No leaks, no troubles. Happy!
First test of the plumbing
Performed the first test of the pluming by connecting a hose to the city water inlet. Almost everything worked just fine. So awesome to have faucets in the galley and head working! A few leaks showed up but I think all of them can be fixed with adding plumbers tape. Off to a good start!
