Learning from mistakes: when fortifying the mast base, I only put a layer of epoxy over G10 plates and didn’t put any cloth down. With just a bit of pressure from beam install, the base cracked. Good thing I caught it in time and had a chance to do proper repair before the mast was stepped back on.
