Replaced mast plate for gooseneck
Needed a new plate with longer ears so that boom has better swing room.
Prepping panel trim
With help from my friend Vlad we started cutting and fitting panel trim. Our attempts to bend it failed, despite the expertly assembled steam box 🙂
Secured quarter birth back panel
Teak trim for interior panels
Used scrap wood to create a router jig for teak trim and used it to make
Finalized by rounding edges on the router table.
Saloon panels
Holding tank cover
With help from my friend Victor, we bent and tapped aluminum brackets and fitted new holding tank cover panel. Thumb screws will allow easy access to the Y-valve and seacocks under the sink.
New solar vent
Repaired a minor crack in the deck via a rather radical approach – by making a 3″ hole in its place and installing a solar-powered vent.
Sewing grabrail cover
Used 1″ binder attachment for my Sailrite sewing machine to create reinforced edging on grab rail covers. Added fasteners – first try at doing that with the SnapRite tool and they turned out OK.
Panels and shelves going in
Put in place bulkheads and shelves around head compartment and on starboard side.
